Waldorf Technik is part of the new HAHN Automation Group brand launch

Effective immediately, Waldorf Technik will appear under the brand: HAHN Automation Group. With the new brand name and design, the former HAHN Group is bringing together all of the previously individual brands within the corporate network to form a global solution partner for factory automation.

The unified brand visibly brings together the strength and size of the group: The HAHN Automation Group stands for industry-specific know-how, an extensive project portfolio, and a global organization with a focus on providing single source service. The group offers customers, particularly in the automotive, consumer goods, electronics and medtech industries, relevant technologies and customized equipment solutions necessary to automate and optimize their production.

New name, same values and global perspectives

Waldorf Technik became part of the HAHN Group in 2016 and is one of more than ten established legacy brands in the HAHN Group network. Thus, maintaining its market position as a specialist for automation in the medical plastic technology injection molding sector. The company is proud of the commitment and know-how of its employees and the years of experience supplying large pharmaceutical groups and renowned medical technology companies.

Precision, reliability and innovation at a high level - this continues to be the performance promise at the Engen location. Waldorf Technik was founded in 1986 and has been located in Engen since 1989. With around 130 employees, the company is one of the five largest employers in the city. Thanks to the wide variety of departments, ranging from design, PLC programming, electrical planning, assembly and commissioning of systems to project management, sales and service, Waldorf Technik offers a broad spectrum of expertise and careers. The training and promotion of young people through our dedicated apprenticeship program is similarly of central importance, and essential to the future of the company.

In the future, the unified brand presence as HAHN Automation Group brings additional benefits for the employees as well as competitive advantages in the market. In addition to the regionally attractive working environment, the merger offers additional global perspectives. The group-wide harmonization of systems and processes created the prerequisites for being able to more easily implement cross-industry, cross-location and cross-country cooperation as well as exchange programs. Employee benefits and advantages can also be rolled out globally thanks to the closer integration of the companies.

Transparency in the market

Many individual brands within the group created a high level of internal and external complexity. Previously each legacy brand represented, like Waldorf Technik, very specific industries, technologies, or geographies within their respective economic regions. Operating as one brand provides a clear, united message and enables competitive advantages such as financial stability, increased global capacity, and better support for global projects.

This rebranding provides our customers and employees clarity towards a global mission while positioning the HAHN Automation Group as a strong, united brand. Becoming the HAHN Automation Group enables 1,800 employees across 22 locations worldwide to work together on custom global solutions – from manual stations to semi-automated cells and full production lines – and provides customers with a global network of 120 service professionals for fast response times and local contacts.
